Re: Oh hell... why not.

I used the RDFABS ebay account as a buisness one to get it cheaper then the listed price of $695. Turbonectics is cracking down on Ebay sellers selling them for waaay less as wholesalers directly to the customers instead of shops which are loosing buisness. But since we are a business I got it for $450 saying it was going to be meant for a shop show car.. which in a way it is...If you look at alot of the auctions they say if your not the end consumer of the product they can get better prices for you..... Can we get a hell yea for ball bearing turbos!... Woot!

This is the absolute last thing I am buying for right now. I need to get the car painted before I turbo it fully. I cleaned her up tonight and parked her for good 6-7 months of winter to come.

I miss her already...

Re: Oh hell... why not.

Are you ever gonna put a resonator on her?

Ps. Do I get a free CAI from Rdfabs for winning?

Its on the list of things to buy, but currenty I am trying to shrink the gap between how much i have and need for my paint job. Only time the exhaust noise gets to me is when i really get on the pedal and if i drive like a normal human being it sounds like a dream.

... and no to the intake. If you had a 2200, when the time comes to run the charge pipes for the turbo I would sell you mine for a killer deal.

Re: Oh hell... why not.

Going to keep it all white. Carbon fiber is staying just the way it is. Door handles and outter portion of the mirrors will be painted white. The front lip of the bumper is going to have a black portion to set off the black of the carbon fiber.

Yes, no pipes, no intercooler, no intake.

Re: Oh hell... why not.

1) The ebay seller is treadstoneperformance.

2) I have no intentions on ordering anything else yet, I need this thing painted first. So right now I have a 450 paper weight.

3) I not only have the RDFABS business name, but I work at Advance Auto parts since july and 20% off on w/e I want. So i just second source anything that I want, then have them price match and take my 20% off that.

4) I probably won't even get to drive my car again next summer either now... Turbo install down time so that everything can be custom fabricated. Damn it all....

Re: Oh hell... why not.

Little update..

This project might die before it even gets off her feet. There is a 50/50 chance that the turbo'd sunfire's engine is blown... With all the headaches that we thought we had figured out to get her to run like a champ just died tonight. Oil lamp started flashing and the motor has a nasty rod knock. Now were not sure what happend or what is wrong besides low oil right now. If chris blew his motor, I am going to put a stop to this project. I have a feeling I know why, but for right now I am keeping my mouth shut.
