Thank you lmckusic.
I did check with the mechanic and he wanted me to leave the vehicle for a day so that he can run some tests on it. In the meantime, I will check the EGR system myself for any loose hoses and try to follow the recommended solutions from this awesome forum. Will report back what I find. Thanks
