In the Challenge kit, both front grilles from the street version and for the race version are included, remaining grilles in the Challenge kit are molded open. I do not know what about the Spyder.

Hi again. I would not superdetail this kit, but the engine bay is so simply replicated (and so visible) that it would be really tricky to paint it cleanly. So, brutally copying what my friend P64 is doing on his Street F430, I’ll will install part the engine of the Tamiya Ferrari 360.





Using the fabulous etched blade from Scale Race Cars, I carefully started cutting the molded engine, proceeding then with a Tatra blade to refine the cut





Tomorrow I’ll continue in cutting the areas around the exhausts. Bye !!

I continued in cutting the engine bay structure, first drilling holes and then cutting with the blades


The cut parts will be glued on the upper trunk cover


I’ve to finish it with file and sandpaper

Not that I want to discourage you, but Revell has released a kit with complete engine detail, that is obviously far superior to this Fujimi kit. And you can buy two for the price of one Tamiya 360!

This is a challenge kit? different engine... different body.. u could try converting a standard revell kit to a challenge.. which i think would be alot harder

I'm suggesting taking the best parts from both kits. There is talk about using Tamiya 360 engine parts which I find a little pricey - when you can get two Revell kits for the same kind of money. By that shortcutting this chopping of primitive 'click'fit' Fujimi parts.

I believe its not possible due to the way the fujimi kit is built.. if u see under the engine bay .. its blocked by the rubbish method of putting the brakes done by fujimi which is really simple.. there wont be enough space to put in the revell engine

Flemming and Gamerxz, thanks for the suggestions. The more I look at the kit the more I realize that is not 100% correct and even installing the 360 engine will be not a joke. But I have to say that my friend Alex made a resin copy of the engine, so I don't have to buy a new kit either Revell or Tamiya, I never tought about this possibility.
Unfortunately Fujimi is still not able (or they are not interested in) to make good and perfect conversions, since ever.

Hi to all, a very little update. While I’m thinking how to install the 360 engine in the 430 engine bay (I’m changing my mind about this topic), I relaxed myself installing aftermarket locking-nuts on the wheels. Once milled away the molded in nut, I placed on the beautiful Scale Production turned parts (Item SPA24011).
