I think that rollcages in street cars are used more to improve, to appear, to show than to protect because these cars didn't make to put rollcages in your bodies. So I prefered change de seats (the original seat is terrible) and use the rollcage to separate the cockpit and the soud, nitrous part! (I hope that you understood what I'm trying to explain )
I think I follow what your saying, the roll cage is more for looks than purpose?? Well this is very true on alot of show cars, I also understand the difficulty in build an accurate rollcage so I know what you mean. It took me like 4 attempts to finally get the rollcage looking ok in my orage civic HB and to be honest I still thinkI could make it closer to the windshield and roof lines but the car is done so I don't worry about it. I found it easier shaping the roll cage to the inside of the car body and then make it fit to the chassis. alot of trial and error but you can do it if you try, I can tell by your talented ability with your detailing. Coming along great, keep it up!!

Here is a pic of my Eg HB rollcage to give you an idea of how I built it

Hope these pics help!!

Re: WIP: Supra Import 1995

Nice job B16!!!

I understood what you said but this rollcage is more for improve the car than protection!

I'll put here pictures of the REAL car used in the F&F movie and you can see that the rollcage is the same that I did!

The rollcage doesn't appear here!!

Got-cha!

This is a very cool project. Your paint is beautiful, and your detail work in the car is excellent. I can't wait to see it finished!

Re: WIP: Supra Import 1995

Nice progress you got there. Keep it up.

By the way, better lighting will let us look at the whole finish of the paint job though.

Re: WIP: Supra Import 1995

Hi folks, I FINISHED my Supra!!!

I'm really happy because the result was very good for so little experience with plastic models!

I'll take more pics to put here, so I'm sending for you the pic of my Supra's face:

Is it a Good or a Bad Guy???
