Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

i think step one to becoming mod material is to learn that these forums are not chatrooms.

Exactly. Postwhoring != mod material.

Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

Another thing that you would have to do is quit post whoring, thread jacking, and derailing like you did in this thread:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=603630

Things like starting two identical threads that violate the rules and getting banned count against you too:

Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

I ended the fight on the first thread even thought hat kid kept arguing, and on the second two threads i appologised and was already talked to another mod and asked if i should delete them. I was told i will be informed if they need to be deleted, and i wasnt informed to do so. I have made mistakes, but they are nowhere neer as bad as some others i've seen. I think the first thread you say i "derailed" i was only trying to stop this kid from making me look like a fool. i was just complimenting the persons chop.

Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

i have administrated huge forums, non of car related, and its not a fun job. you might think banning someone is fun, but the fun goes away after the 3rd or 4th person u ban

Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

^ i'm not wanting to be a mod so i can ban people left and right. i want to make the forum a better place. i usually surf all over the forum and see inapropriate posts that usually arnt seen by other mods. I just want to be able to make the forum more "streamline" and smoother. thats all.

Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

streamline?
really?
the way you randomly respond to posts, with posts of your own that do not add to the discussion, leads me to believe otherwise.

Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

^ I'm merely participating in the discussion. I like to crack a joke every now and then, but hey, that livens this place up a bit. you know what i mean.

Re: Whats it take to be a mod?

Ok, this thread is going no where.

G-boy, there is only one way you are ever going to be made a mod.

I accept Paypal and International money orders.
