Its the saddest thing when a pet dies.

How big was your dog? I can't imagine a dog needing to fear for its life.

My condolences to you Grendal I too have lost a few dogs in my life. It's just as bad as losing a family member. Time helps heal, maybe down the road you will be ready again for another 4-legged pal

It was about average size for a dog... it was a springer spaniel (sp?)... I guess it was just overpowered by whatever killed it...
