Yeah, I took it off in anticipation of test-drives, etc. It's secured to the body via screws...really simple. Does leave tiny holes in the bumper where it attaches, obviously.

Thanks. I put it on Autotrader recently, and I just can't believe that all my potential buyers are a bunch of high school kiddies, ready with the money.

It's their first car, and they don't care if it's got bad gas milegae, won't pass smog, and is uncomfortable to drive (urethane mounts, B/S removed, etc). They didn't even want to listen to what the upgrades meant, and how the fuel system was a severely limiting factor as far as boost went, and how without AWD and/or LSD launching was an issue...no sir. No problem with any of that at all. They see a bunch of guages and buttons and they're sold on it. Good lord... .

LOL, it funny how that works isnt it? I remember when I sold my plain and simply 97 RS, I was trying to explain to the high school kid why and which weight oil to use so that it doesnt burn oil....but he was barely listening....too busy looking at the exhaust, rims, and he couldnt get over the fact that it was lowered like 3 inches.

I know what you mean man. As hilarious as it is, you know for a fact that one of those kids is going to blow the motor in a week. And then they call you up like you gave them a lemon or something.

The little kid who bought my old RS wrecked the front end in 2 weeks. Totally fudged the front bumper, fender, and cracked a rim Oh well, atleast I got my money for it heh.

My talon was my second car, the first I still have aswell, I bought my talon when I was 18! And the only time I've ever fucked it up was when I hit a curb and bent my rim, and fucked up my tie rod and control arm. Still not too bad considering the way I drive!

Wow, I'm impressed... looks like you were lucky to make it out...

I can't say much... I wrecked my first car twice within 3 months... once I hit a deer (on the country road I live on)... and the other, I was heavily medicated and hydroplaned into the back of an Accord... it broke my fiberglass bumper and the headlight... and ruined the A/C condenser... that was a/b it... My first car was an '87 Taurus wagon btw... bought it myself...

Then I had an Escort, and then A Corolla HB, and then my Stealth (tears)... then my '97 RS, and now a '91 TSI (FWD, but fast)...
