Sure do! Mr "King of the Road". I look back at the country I used to listen to in the late '70s/early'80s versus now and it amazes me how much it's changed. You can really see the 'rock and pop influences' starting in the early '90s. Back then I listened to Johnny Cash, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr, and Merle Haggard among others. Now it's Brooks and Dunn, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, and Big and Rich. It seems country was the same for decades until the very late '80s, then it began to 'morph' into what we know it as today. I think part of the reason was what I call the "country traditionalists". They seem to want to keep country the same as it's been for many years. They look down at these newer acts as an 'infringement' upon their music and the way they knew it. It took awhile for Nashville to accept certain acts like Shania Twain, and Big and Rich because at the time they were so different in what they wore and their music. But as country became more mainstream, and younger listeners started to listen, it changed to meet their needs and desires.

Re: what kind of music do you listen to??

I agree completely. On a side note, I just bought a CD with King Of The Road on it for 5 bucks. I'd thought I'd hit a goldmine. That song kicks ass. I also just picked up a Kenny Rogers greatest hits with Coward of the County and The Gambler on it. 5 bucks as well.

I'm a alternative, rock, punk kind of guy. But I'm also quality over quantity. I take a crisp clear system over a loud thumping system any day!

Re: what kind of music do you listen to??

pretty much everything on the list except for the hip-hop. Also, I enjoy progressive rock, if any of you like that (Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Spock's Beard, etc).

That doesn't matter though. All that matters is now. Here. And what is here? Why, it is only myself and this road. I've been walking a while, and I've come to find that no matter how much I try to stray from this direct path, I always find myself back on it. I can't say this is by way of my own fault, because it is not. I've tried to create a road of my own, only to find that all roads I choose to make, lead me to the one that is already made. Alarming? Maybe not so much. Deterring? Never.

I love these cloudy days. Have I mentioned that? Wonder has always been something my mind has enjoyed and to be in a constant state of it is wonderful. My bones and flesh soak in every drop of it, until I can take no more. And then? And then I take more still. Surely you know of what I speak.

I'm sorry, but I must leave you now. My wondering mind is getting the best of me and uncertainty beckons me.

Until we meet again...

You're a brave man to admit it .

But seriously, I see nothing wrong with Fallout Boy. For some reason, I can't help but love Panic! At The Disco. Don't know why, I just really like their album.

It 's some of the stuff that just gets stuck in your head, like a bad commercial jingle. I hate it, but yet at the same time I hear myself singing along to it. It's a plauge.
