Painting the body...I cannot and doubt I ever will be able to get a smooth coat...I don't even bother with panel lines cause I know I can't do them and window trim too.

Yeah, painting and polishing. I seem to be getting the hang of the latter but I still need more practice. Also the fear of screwing something up, that's why I am afraid o try new things (like openning doors)

Body paint, especially with light and metallic colours.
Some stupid tendency of doing some mistake in every new model.

I will add in on the bandwagon here and say paint is my biggest problem also. I put masking off right up there too. I hate it when I think I mask off an area well then pell it off to find out the paint either ran or over spray got through!!
Even the lacquer paint can be a bitch at times. Not mixed right can make blobs on the car body and or water in line can "F" up a paint job real fast!

Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, I would probably say my biggest weakness was a total lack of modeling skill

OK, if I'm slightly less harsh on myself I'd say my brush painting skills are a bit poor, and I sometimes rush things because I'm too excited about finishing a model.

I could probably fix the brush painting problem by buying an airbrush but no amount of money is going to overcome impatience

My weakness...

Hot chicks with long legs and dark hair!

Seriously though, first would be painting. I sometimes find it hard to get that glass like finish. More skill is needed here. Next would be my tendency to build a little bit of every kit I have every other day. The end result is no models being completed after months of 'work'. :bandit:

for me its doing a good paint job on the pieces that no one will actually see because i think whats the use if no one will ever see it.
and also getting back into the modeling mood after a couple months off, seems like i take a few months off every now and then.

Use Microscale Kristal Kleer, or Elmer's Glue. Do NOT use superglue (aka cyanoacrylate) or modeling glue. VApors from superglue will cause clear plastic to fog up, and if you get modeling glue on any place other than the gluing section than it will fog it up.

I sand then paint again or polish but then I wet sand and paint sand and paint until I leave the room. Then I walk in and sand and paint!

I been doing the same model for 2 years!!
