ok, my bad. i didnt know if it was true or not that why i posted it.
do you know where i can get a set of utp rca cables, i dont wanna make them. what companies make them for car audio? i checked on ebay as i normally do for random stuff. and i couldnt find anything under unshielded. the only "twisted" i found was the one i showed you earlier that was made of copper. and the only utp, was a computer cat5 cable.

I always make mine .......... but try looking for the words twisted pair. I think one of the companies made an RCA cable named "hyper" series - these were UTP's, and very cheap

i dont know if this gonna go against the brand name not making a difference, but i have a buddy who is damn near the closest thing ive found to a car audio god and he told me to stick with monster cables (also happen to be the most expensive). But he has over 8 g's of audio equiptment in his car including 2 1400w PPI's powering 3 12" JL w6's in a fully dynamatted maxima w/ a pair of eclipse components (not sure on the model but they were $400) and eclipse 2-ways in the rear deck all hooked up into his (i think 9-band) alpine EQ and kenwood in-dash DVD/CD/MP3 player. So im thinkin i should listen to him when he says i should get monster cable's for RCA's. Is it that easy to make your own and do they sound just as nice?

monster cable isn't any better or worse than any of the other brands, maybe he doesn't have noise because his car is less noisy - Hondas are notoriously noisy. You might actually enjoy making them yourself, you can use stands of like 26 Ga colored wires or you can use CAT-5 cable, doesn't really matter. It really helps if you know how to solder. The only thing is, premade RCA's often LOOK a lot bette.
