Its just beyond me how people can get so infuriated about animals?

- Sure that wasnt a nice thing to do - but why dont people get in an uproar about the millions of kids aborted everday , or the thousands of innocent children that are abused - physically and sexually - and these are children with souls and minds of their own - not animals. - now that infuriates me!

People do, but that’s not what this thread was about.

I'm sure if you started one about child abuse you would get the same reaction. I'm sure if someone attacked a kid with a razor blade everyone would be disgusted too.

I just knew there would be someone who wouldn't think there is something too wrong with what happened to this puppy. I just hope you don't have pets because I'd hate to see how you treated them.

Oh, yeah, and just so you know, animals have "souls and minds of their own" as well. Abuse in any form can't be tolerated, there are no distinctions!

there are distinctions
if something has a soul and can show emotions then its totaly different

actually i have a dog and a cat
and treat them very well

im sure the same people that whine about this dog
will stomp on a mouse or swat a spider without a second thought

I can watch people get shot, or butchered etc and not feel a thing (if they are close to me this is differnet) But to see an animal hurt, even in a movie where I know its not, still really drags a deep pain from me. I have gone out of my way to stop animal crulity to where I had no hope in hell of wining the fight, but the animal would be ok so it was worth it. I think there are too many abusive parents, who create children who like to do such things...Theres a dog owner in my area who has this lil dog hes so mean to and raised to attack...well, he lets it loose all the time, and I have to fight it away from my house, and children of the neightborhood, because it will chase them trying to attack, I made it clear to him if I have to hurt the dog, i'll do worse. He hasnt let the dog out, and from what i've seen, hasnt abused it much *I had a foot on him, I was covered in greese from working on the trans am, and had an engine mount in my hand, so I was rather intimitating*

If I cought someone doing that to an animal though....I dont know what I would do...

Could start a thread in Philosophizing about this, but I think animals have emotions becuase I've seen my dog show it and I swear she can smile sometimes, btu having souls is a different story.
