Re: Porsche Carrera GT

A masterclass in 24th car building. On the strength of this I might just be pressing the 'order now' button. Awesome.

Did you have any problems with the windscreen - I spoke to a chap at the weekend who'd built this car and he said it was a snap fit??

Re: Porsche Carrera GT

HOW do you do that? The detail painting specifically, like the interior details and suspension bits?

Re: Porsche Carrera GT

Thanks for the comments everybody, glad you like it.

Paul - yes the windscreen is a snap fit as are the tail lights. I was a concerned about it but after a bit too much force the windscreen snapped in with no problems. A scary moment, but beautiful execution by Tamiya.

carlisimo - with a lot of patience. Truth be told I try and avoid detail brush painting as much as possible. I'd rather section the pieces or mask and spray. I also used flat black decal for some sharp edged areas, like the black rubber seals behind the red parts of the rollover hoop.

godfather23 - you saying I don't build enough models? I agree, it gets harder and harder to find the time for modeling.

Cheers guys and thanks again. I'll try and upload some higher res pics to my website before I head off to Melbourne tomorrow.
