The car has 9300 KM on the clock.
Hong Kong is a small place,
I only manage to put in about 20-25 Km/Week Max.
I only drive it 2 times a week.

ERIC!! Its is a small world. That car was my neighbors' car. Did you buy it from Carcity in Happy valley? I remember when my nieghbor bought that car, i almost crapped my pants. He only had it for a few days though. Hey since you take it out a few days a week do you think you could come pick me up?

I don't think having a job has anything to do with ppl owning lambos. They personally have exterior "suppliments", such as investment returns from real-estate, businesses, etc to help them attain such luxuries.

Remember having a job means u can only work x hours, and no more. If u actually think a boss will pay u more for doing the same amount of work, think again.

So yea, they rely on other sources of income to attain these properties. Although if u have a very high paying job u can buy a lambo, but what's the point getting stuck in the office most of them time instead of enjoying the car.

Buying a car is not always about money.
Its about passion. But of course never over spend.
The car I bought was second hand.
I would never buy it brand new as I cannot justify myself to spend
that kind of money on something that will only depreciate.
If were to spend serveral million on a something it better make me money otherwise forget it.
The car shown as I said did not cost more than a new BMW M3. Even my neighbors new MB S 500 cost more than my car.
But I think my car is far sexier than a block of metal on four wheels with no character.

Eric,

Congratulations on your Diablo purchase, I was wondering if there is any law in HK that states that the dealer or seller of the car has to inform the buyer if the car has been in any accident? My father lives in HK and he told me that buying second hand cars are a bit tricky since you never know the story behind it. how isyour diablo? How many diablo owners are there in HK? I would suspect only a few since it is quite a difficult car to drive in such small and uncomfortable roads.

Yes buying a second hand car can be a night mare.
The best thing is to know a mechanic and be-friend him.
Ask him to make an evaluation before you buy.
And when you buy, be prepared to expect small problems,
after all it is only a second hand car - hence its much cheaper.
So don;t expect it to be like new and trouble free.
But I believe the saving you make by buying second hand more than compensates for the problem you will encounter with the car.
And don't forget, when buying new you suffer 30% depreciation immediately in the car market.

Eric,

Thank you for the tips. Is that what you did with your diablo? Is there any warranty on your car? Do you have a Lambo mechanic friend to do work on your car? Is this your first exotic car? How does the ride feel? I had a friend buy a diablo brand new in 1991, he told me that he stalled the car 100 times because of the clutch, its too heavy!! Is it the same on your VT? I really like the SV air scoops on the engine cover, and the black wheels are perfect.
