Re: In Progress: '68 Pontiac Firebird 400

This is a mad kit to build, the only thing you need to do is glue the beaver panel to tbe body BEFORE you paint it to get the best result, when I built my mates and miy one awhile ago it ws the only panel to flaw the finish.... I eagerly await thenew paintjob, hopefully you'll have a bunch of pregress for us to gaze upon when you post it.

Re: In Progress: '68 Pontiac Firebird 400

sorry guys, but this thread is officially over, [EDIT] Ignore this post, the car is salvageable, i'll sand it smooth. [EDIT] I dipped it in gas and stripped more than the paint off. the first layer of plastic is gone.im not experienced enough to fill in the eroded spots with putty. i got pics if u want to see the damage.

I, er...

That'd be why we suggested brake fluid or CSC...

Oh well. Get back on that horse and start another one!

Re: In Progress: '68 Pontiac Firebird 400

I was actually lucky enough to not have done too much damage and I was able to sand it down smooth enough that it will have another chance at life:
THIS THREAD AINT DEAD YET!

P.S.-I got me some real CSC, but it only says "Super Clean," my Auto Zone didn't have the Castrol version. Will this work?
