As to the question of how i got out.. it still didnt hit me after it happened that we were in the air a good 5 feet so i basicly just turned it off (it was still running, good ol' chevys...) told the lady not to move and opened the door and got ready to step out thinking earth was still going to be under my feet and literaly fell out not expecting it.
Man that really sucks, and thank God you are ok.... BUT, I would have crapped my pants from laughing at seeing a car go up on a guide wire, a door opening and someone going to get out and falling out! You are gonna look on back at this and piss yourself laughing in a couple omnths when you car is fixed, etc.

It could have turned out a lot worse.

really? thats crazy. it seems like it would break that cable or the car would be a little off center and slide off or flip over.

Re: Look what i did today...

Didnt think those cables would be able to hold up so much weight especially becuase if you walk up to them you can shake em around alot.

Re: Look what i did today...

You are lucky as hell. You had to be going pretty fast to get the thing to stand up on it's tail like that and if you wouldn't have put the guide right in the middle of your car you probably would have done a nice barrel roll through the air. I've seen it happen, and it's probably the coolest and the scariest thing I've ever seen, the car did about three rolls in the air and the telephone pole crashed down in middle of the road.

Re: Look what i did today...

Well, i have a bit of a sad update...
Im pretty sure im going to give up on the ol' rs... i just got a new tranny put in it witch set me back a good $1,800, and some other small things that have been bugging me finally got fixed and i decided to take it out and now its pretty much totaled...
Its "fixable" but i think im done sinking money into it. The subframe is bent beyond belief, the rear quarter panels are both bent up and all messed up, i think the car actually rode up the guide wire further, and came back down to the ground and slammed into the back end and casued the quarter panels to buckle in, also some other small stuff is messed up i didint notice yesterday also.
Im now looking for an 86 iroc, going to take the borla exhaust off, the new tranny and definalty take out the motor becuase it only had 73k on it...
Hopefully the junk or scrap yard can give me a couple hundred for her after takeing off what else i might be able to part out.
Anyone looking for some parts off of a 92 rs?
