Re: Revell Enzo Custom

Im sure your not going for complete realism on this thing cuz it sucks with the enzo and the carrera gt that when you change wheels you are left with the whole single center wheel nut going to the new 5 lug wheels. and i dont know of any after market wheels that are single wheel nut.

I know, but I am still doubting what to do; or close the holes and make a centercap on, or leave it with the 5 holes and think they changed the hub on the car.

And like lownslow said; I do have seen an black Enzo with 5-lug wheels

Re: Revell Enzo Custom

I would try the 5 lug and see how it looks, it might give the car a more technical look with it being flat black as well.
Maybe post a mockup of the wheels on the car? that should help everyone.
Cool keep the ideas flowin

Re: Revell Enzo Custom

Noting much has been going on, still waiting on the wheels.

And bought last week a Revell flat clear coat for the airbrush, so I am going to try if that gives me the effect I want.

I also bought a F50 for 6 bucks, and is probably also going to be flat black, or another colour wich is not expected on a Ferrari

Re: Revell Enzo Custom

on the varnish issue, what brand did you use? I can't seem to find that out from your posts. To me it sounds like you're trying to put laquer over acrylic or something like that. Try to find a black color paint and varnish out of the same line, that will probably take care of the problem.
best regards
Joel - who finds the flat black painting good looking

Thanks Joel, but both paints were on the same base, one was Revell, the Laquer was automotive paint. However, I used that same combination for many years, but only in the gloss paints.

So I bought last week a flat laquer from Revell, ready for the airbrush.

Re: Revell Enzo Custom

would tamiya acrylic's flat base be compatible with future wax?

gunze/Mr. Color's flat topcoat works great as well.
