Re: bad habits

gereal bad drivers.

my mum's cousin (also called Aaron) was killed in a hit-and-run a few years ago. the other driver left the scene, while my second cousin was left in his wrecked car. he later died in hospital. i never got to know him.

my friend Tim was killed in a car accident, he was drugged and drove his Evo into the back of a truck at something like 160 (we don't know the actual speed) the car's rollcage didn't save him and he died in hospital.

speed limit's there for a reason. unless you're absolutely sure that you pose no risk to others, or yourself keep within the limit.

i've done stupid things driving, but never putting others at risk.

Re: bad habits

people who get pissy when you pass them.

last night i was drivin home from milwaukee, it was 330 am and i wanted to get home. so i am the ONLY car on the road and some idiot thinks it'd be a great idea to cut me off when i'm donig about 65 and they're at a complete stop from getting off the interstate. they are going 40 mph, i wanted to go at least 70 since the roads are empty. so i pass them right away and continue on my way. all of a sudden they're accelerating at my bumper, then slamming on the brakes at the last second repeatedly and flashing their brights at me. wtf? if i wasn't asleep at the wheel i probably would've rolled my window down and given them the finger.

and fred i know what u mean about people and their blinkers. turning them on after u get in the turn lane and sit there for awhile defeats the point. ur in the turn lane..we all know ur turning. same goes for people who turn their blinker on waaaaaay too early and confuse people as to where they're turning. i think that there should be some sort of required remedial driving school at every few certain ages. some people really need it...

Re: bad habits

It's been done to death, but I get sick of people who can't get the hell off the freakin' phone and just DRIVE, damnit!

Seems that lately every airbrain on a cell phone has it out for me. They pull out without looking, they run stop signs, they drift into the next lane, they go too stinkin' slow, and they look at the rest of US like it's OUR fault.

SHUT UP AND DRIVE! GET OFF THE PHONE AND PAY ATTENTION, DUMBASS!

ahhh, I feel better now, thanks.

Meh..whatever.

I hate the same things all of you hate, so there's no sense repeating them.

I hate it when people don't yield to pedestrians or bike riders. I walk and ride my bike a lot and people here are such assholes.

Re: bad habits

Just a few, in order from slightly annoying to highly dangerous.

5. People who don't stop before making a right turn on red.

4. People who beep at you because you did!

3. People who merge onto the highway right along side your car, instead of going in front or behind, even when there is plenty of space.

2. People who can't (or just don't bother to) stay in the same lane when turning onto a four lane road. Many will swing out into the far lane, (or some where in between the two!) which is not only inconsiderate to others, but endangers them as well. Do they really have that poor of skills that they can't make a left turn into the center of the left lane (or right to right)?

1. Tailgating and/or squeezing through tight spots in traffic when changing lanes. Both of these practices leave little room for error or reaction.

i guess it's different for you.

in London just about everyone hates, with a passion, cyclists. we wouldn't if they obeyed the highway code once in a while, but instead they don't stop at red lights, ever. i see them everyday, about 5 or so, all the other traffic stops but the cyclist just crosses the junction like they own the bastard road.

my mum aims for them, once when driving my dad into work (he couldn't go in on his scoot because a guy ran a red light and drove on the wrong side of the road. he hit my dad, sending him accross the bonnet/hood and writing off the bike. my dad could barely walk for a couple weeks.) a cyclist on oxford street just goes straight accross past us, my mum floors it and holds the horn on.

i've seen plenty of cyclist get run over. i've been there when it happens, i remember walking home when a guy on a bike ran a red, then got hit by a car. i felt no sympathy what so ever, he didn't stop. tough shit.

Re: bad habits

I'm such a hypocrit, because I drive aggressively often, I speed always, and I only use my blinkers when my action would cause another driver to slow down, or if a cop is watching. So yeah, I'm not the best driver when it comes to following the law, but I consider myself someone who is always extremely aware of my surroundings, traffic, and my car's size and abilities.

What gets me, is people who drive 12 under the limit, people who don't know the difference between stop and yield, and people who aren't aware of other drivers/the flow of traffic. Like they will stop 3 ft into an intersection to make a left turn, and block everyone behind them who is trying to go straight. Oblivious people like that piss me off.

Re: bad habits

I don't like when you go to pass someone in congested traffic and all of a sudden you're in a race. Never fails.
