Re: fuel pumps?

255 or 190? I might take it off your hands depending on what you want for it

Can you return it? Which did you buy fwd or awd? I have an awd pump sitting here so if you have a fwd we can compare the part numbers.

Re: fuel pumps?

Wait, wait, wait. IIRC That fuel pump will fit just fine. its the connectons from the pump to the harnesses that are diffrent between models. There shouldn't be any diffrence between the 1g fwd & awd or 2g fwd or awd. Their would be a diffrence between 1g and 2g. Your fine.

Re: fuel pumps?

I just checked ExtreamPSI.com. The 1g have AWD, FWD specific fuel pumps. I don't know the answer to that. The 2g pumps on their website are not drivetrain specific like the 1g. Sorry dude, I've never had a 1g. Can you call the place tell them you think you bought the wrong pump?

Of course if you have an safc2 or other air/fuel controling device you can lean the massive 55% enrichment over 4500rpm's out to what ever you want. For example. If you tuned the 1g pump to 11:1 (same past values) you would net a max of 31lb/min airflow & 40lb/min airflow on the 2g pump.
Wait, i thought 2g's Ran at 33psi fuel pressure, stock... am i wrong? if so, let me know because i have my FPR set @ 33 psi... with a walbro 255hp pump, and a rewire...

Re: fuel pumps?

2g's run 43.5psi with the vacuum line disconnected. 1g's run a little lower at 37psi. I don't reamber what the fuel pressure is suppose to be with the vac lines connected, though 2HG = 1psi

Re: fuel pumps?

scottsee is correct with his base pressure, and the comment about 2"hg being 1 psi. So simply do the math. If you have 14" at idle, and 43 psi base, presure with the hose on should be 36 psi. Etc.

Re: fuel pumps?

I just got done with a fuel pump re-wire. I makes a huge difference.

There is something wrong. even before the re-wire. when I hit the gas hard to like 5000 rpm and let off the gas the car wants to die. Well it does die but since I rolling the car starts back up like a push start. This started to happen when I put upper and lower intercooler pipes. any ideas? one more thing, when the car is at a dead stop at idle and i hit the gas and let off the engines still revs for about an additional second. is this normal? thanks
