Its not too hard, it requires the right tools and most importantly patience!!! My method is to first use a dental probe - very similar to the BMF panel scriber http://www.bare-metal.com/panelscriberhowto.htm ... This deepens the channel a little for easier cutting but i dont use it to cut all the way as it will end widening the groove. Instead i work my way through with a No11 blade using the sharp edge to cut into the plastic then the back of the blade to shift it away.

Its a boring task and takes time, you really have to stop your self from trying to get the job done quicker by going faster or applying more pressure. I gaurantee if you do either, the blade will slip and may create a new unwanted panel line elsewhere on your model or end up embedded in your hand.

I am thinking od Scrtch building my model from an existing Ford Focus WRC... Doing the engine is not that hard once you have the right type of material and the photos..
My problem is cutting..what is the best way to cut body panels with making the least amount of destruction... I mean the engine hood and the doors???
