What is wrong with a person who, at the ripe old age of 32, can't buy his own car, and can't keep his own ass out of jail?
So keeping your ass out of jail and having money are symptoms of being "mature"? I'm not trying to defend this loser's actions (as getting one's car damaged is a big bummer), but life isn't that black and white and we shouldn't force people to all be suit-wearing, soul-less drones that would make any Tyrant proud. We try to mold humans into this "average" life that would make Tyler Durden go postal.
Why do we all have to conform to some arbitrary mold? Why can't we live the way we did many years ago... where family was always close, and we had room to make mistakes and grow without having our growth experinces accidently bounce onto someone else's hood. I do have to agree that drinking and carrying on like he does is not ideal, but why does everyone gang up on such people and kick them further to the curb? OH, I wish there was a way to actually help people out instead of pissing on them all the time. Who knows... maybe the guy is beyond help. I don't know him personally. Maybe he has a mental condition which would require him to be in a mental ward? If so, lets put him there instead of perpetuating these demeaning stereotypes about middle-aged men who live at home.
No, I don't live at home but I don't see why we have to be lemmings and runt the rat-race and live in some apartment that eats our paychecks whole and be told what we can and can't do by the police and go to bed at a certain hour and eat certain things and own one thing but not the other and smoke this brand of cigarette because it makes you sexier and wear these clothes because if you don't your wierd and think this way because if you don't your a terrorist and drive a certain type of car because the other one just lets people know that you are whatever excuse is hot at the moment and work just to buy things that we don't really need and work and work until you die and nobody cares who you are unless they can get a quick buck from you or get some sadistic joy out of making you miserable or their bitch and erecting glass ceilings to give you the illusion that you can be somebody when they are really laughing from behind the mirror and they torment you and hang the carrot out there and tell you that their is a god in the hopes that you will follow their every command and never think on your own and never be the person that you were made to be and never enjoy a sinlge day and never get that red Ferarri that you've been wanting since you were twelve and never being able to achieve Maslow's hierarhy and just dying one day all sad, poor and miserable only to have to pay for all the things you did just to get by or fit in or get an ounce of pleasure out of this sick, twisted, miserable rock.

Okay have fun with that one, girl! I'm kinda getting turned on

Get him drunk on Guiness, then get in the Guiness Book of World's Records for throwing a drunk man the farthest against a rock!

Thats a hell of alot of what i'm feeling!

Yah, more or less, we just run societys gambet because we know nothing else, naimly because the other stuff is considered "wrong" one way or another. Weather its breaking a social law, or goverment law, its still the different from the norm which is wrong. Granted, alot of laws are made to protect us, such as "no killing" or "no going doubble the limit in residencial areas" some like social laws are just plain wrong. Ive lived my life by not really fitting into anything, and the weird thing about it is alot of people come to me because they know not only do I not care what people think of me, but I dont judge against others in the same way as well. Laws such as "you cant dress like that, because it isnt fashionable or right" or "you cant have that job because your a man (woman)" are just plain dumb. Same thing with how we act, talking one way or another is wrong to this person or that. Sometimes just the way we walk can be considered wrong. I grew up with 2 different crouds, the jocks/punks/racers and the rich yuppies/models/surfers. Both would act a way, and they would say the way the other side acted and dressed and lived was wrong. I had friends in both, and both would tear me apart so I decided to do my own thing as I formentioned. Some people can drive at 80 in a 65 and -never- have a problem, and some people want to live at their parents home because it saves them money, or maby even, god forbid, they love their parents. Some people want to live out of a van or suv, simply because they wish to explore, travle alot, be the wandering vagabond having their home wherever they lay their head. If I decided to follow -ALL- of the Gov laws, but decided to wear a dress, live out of a van, talk with a broken english, and listen to rap all day, would I be treated normally? Or would I be treated about as bad as a molester/sadomasicastic dulusional scitso (sp)/murderer/creepy guy? Now if I was happy doing this, and being a productive member of society, and hell, helped people out every chance I had, why should I be treated so wrong? Because people wish to fit into the confortable norm of never experencing anything other than what society deems correct. I saw, let us never be complete, I say, let the chips fall where they may (I had to say it ) We need to let go some of such strict boundries, and allow a lil more personal freedom, a little more groth room, I havent ever met a person, of any age, who couldnt grow at least a lil.

My two cents with intrest :bandit:

Same shit happened to a friend of mine a while ago.

Her '95 Celica GT-S was parked in front of her house where it had been parked every night for the last 5 years (shes 17, car was a hand me down from mom) and a guy like 7 houses down got into his truck drunk, and then hit her car, totaling it. He tried to say he didnt do it but she woke up and chased him, and the people across the street had just gotten back from a concert and witnessed the whole thing (this happened around 2 AM)

After a lot of bullshit and run around she got an insurance payoff out of him, and now drives a '97 Integra LS. So not only did she get a new car, she got a nicer one.

Mods on the LS
Custom Muffler
Lowered 2"
Altezza Taillights
Leather Interior

First off i'd be smart enough not to park in anyone's assigned space, these days there's visitor spots to park in. If you wanna save money and a trip to the impound lot, park in the visitor space, usually they're not that far from where you need to go.

I was parked in MY assigned space, he was illegally parked in a vacant apartment's space.

Anyhow, UPDATE!!!!!

My downstairs neighbor was looking out his window since he heard the ruckus and wanted to be sure nothing happened to his truck, which he babies (waxes it like every week). He didn't see the perp throw the rock, but he DID see the perp pick it up off my hood after it landed. So the evidence is no longer circumstantial. I talked to the officer handling the case on Sunday, he has gone to 3 houses trying to find the perp and if he can't find him by the end of the week, he's putting out a warrant for the guy. I am starting fo feel a bit better about the whole thing, as it is established in the eyes of the law that he did the damage and now we just have to track him down and take all of his money.

I would just like to say one big thank-you to (honest) witnesses everywhere, who take time out of their busy schedules to make sure that the truth is known and right is done. Thank you, thank you, thank you witnesses. You aid in the capture of murderers, rapists, etc, and also in petty crimes like this one. However petty it may be though, when it's your $500 it is a big deal. Thank you witnesses and thank you cops who spend your entire work week dealing with losers in bad moods and nice people also in bad moods. I realize that not every cop is a good cop, however I am grateful for them as it is a job I am not woman enough to do. Thanks to everyone also for the pity-party, it made me feel much, much better to know that others around the world cared.
