my experience was much like that. basically, i was racing a viper, and the cop told me that he never sees cars like that racing out there, so if my record was clean, he'd let me go, it was, he did. he also told me that he probably would have taken me to jail if it was those obnoxious little noisemakers racing, or something to that effect.

Running red lights is whack! Red means STOP! That is the dumbest thing that you could ever do. I hope you realize what you did is dumb and just plain stupid. If you want to play w/ your own life FINE, don't play w/ anyone else's. You're lucky you didn't kill anyone.
