Yeah it was super expensive because most dealers didn't have hte tools around here. Plus they said they had to pull the engine. Which I know you don't.

Thats why I opted to do it myself. Takes about a weekend I assume for someone who hasn't done one before but to save that much money and change out alot more it's definately worth it to me.

it takes 10 minutes with the engine out and around 3-5 hours to do with the engine in if your good

With the 6 bolt in the 2g, and the way my car was set up, it was far easier to pull the motor to do a tbelt job. Luckily I blew up the motors and trannys long before the tbelt expired

Edit> FYI, the EVO setup is 10 times better. It has an autotensioned serpentine accessory belt for starters... There is also plenty of room to get the tbelt cover off, unlike the 6bolt in a 2g. Etc. If I was really motivated I could probably do a tbelt in 1-1.5 hours. I like it.
