Re: $12.35 solution for BOV recirculation tube

it is "Fucking Genious"! I am in the process of doing it to mine right now (waiting for paint to dry). I couldnt use the hardpipe for the whole thing because my setup wouldnt allow for it.

I went to lowes about an hour ago and picked up 25.00 worth of pipes, hoses, and clamps just to make sure I wouldnt have to go back. Out of what I got I was able to use the flexible "J" pipe (silver rubber piece), part of the "P" trap, a few 1.25 coupler hoses, and a coupler going from 1.25 to 2 inches (cause I dont have a fancy dejon tool pipe like some ppl ). After I return all my unused junk it will probably be about 15.00.

I got the plastic "P" trap cause my intake is mainly plastic (exept for the black powder coated dejon short pipe). and to cut down on the weight of course ! J/P but I just cut it to size and painted it black. which is why im not done yet, gotta wait for the damn paint to dry.

the install will take just under an hour and a half including the paint dry.
THANKS FOR THE IDEA! Never thought to turn the BOV around!

I will try and post pics asap!

EDIT>gotta get a ride to Lowes to get a vaccum hose SOB I knew I forgot something

Re: $12.35 solution for BOV recirculation tube

I did this not that long ago, just for the noise
This is what i bought 3.99

then cut it to fit as best as posible and put my little bro's bike tire tube pieces on the ends.

Then i clamped it on like so.

and now it matches my intercooler piping, lol

Re: $12.35 solution for BOV recirculation tube

yeah this idea was done on dsmtuners.com http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163819

so that "p trap kit" is a piping kit you can get at lowes? so it would have enough bends so that i can match it to my set up?

hmmm i have a hack saw. i think i'll give it a try. i think i get 1" piping, and use 1.25" radiator hose i have as gaskets. my bov and intake return are 1", so the metal pipe would line up perfect.

Eh... mine is prettier lol.

Ya, I got the p trap in the like plumbing section, and it fit perfectly without having to actually bend the p trap pipes, just a little trimming. But, that is with my setup. I think that you could probably just use the longer pipe that comes in the kit and it should work fine.
