Sad when even the guys on honda-tech are raggin on him. Honestly the car didnt even have lsd, and they had agreed before they even got to the track that whoever was the winner would sell the losing car back for 300$.

I read the thread on Camaro SS. The trans am driver did not say that it was $300. He said it was less than what the car was worth, and more than enough to cover his tranny rebuild (obviously more than $300). The civic kid claimed it was $300, and the trans am guy said if that makes him happy, then let him say it.

Interesting going through the Honda-Tech thread. And how could you not agree with them all. Kid should have used his slicks right off. I bet it was his brothers car. So...he talked it up, didn't know shit, and lost his car. At the end of the show, you don't see him running up to the guy saying, "Please sell that car back!! It's my brothers!!" or something to that affect...whatever. Kid was a fudge packer for trying...

how do u ask for a race seriously acking for 20 cars right off the bat....that kid is an idiot. he couldn't drive the car for nothing. i swear i coulda drove it better then him....but the point is, y put all that money into a car if u can't drive it to a decent time?????? i think he needs to go back to the tercel days and learn to launch with one of those. who seriously would sabatage a car that they want to win, thats just rediculous and expecially on TV....i think the kid that lost his civic could be RedNecks forgotten cousin or somethin....

i was reading all 25 pages of the link at the camaro forum that redneck linked over.

that civic is fast when the guy who won it drove it. he said he got the car to run low 10's. the kid originally wanted to hire a pro to race but the show's rules are you drive what your own car. so that kid got thurougly owned.

also when he inspected te car when it was on the trailer, the boost line was places very close to hood latch. those idiots crushed their own vacuum line that goes to the wastegate.

Nah, the rules state, that you can opt to have a pro race driver race your car for you. But the other driver has to agree to it.

When the two teams met up, the civic guy saw that the trans am guy had two pro racers suited up and ready to go. The civic dude freaked and said "owners drive the cars!". Which is what the trans am owner wanted, cause he's a good driver himself.

but that TA was a beast, on his website its says hes looking to break into 8's with it next year, the timing was retarded for the show

And ones again an import guy says his car is fast and can’t back it up. Clearly that was not a 600 hp Civic. Of course that’s not surprising because there probably isn’t a 600 hp Civic out there that can make 5 runs without blowing-up.

I guess the show should have assumed he would lie and found a 500 hp SRT-4 for him to race. But the ricers would have still called the race unfair because it was a 1.8L I4 vs a 2.4L I4.
