Thumbs up Re: Blue Seven (Parts 3)

Of course it goes without saying that your work is so remarkable that I'm sure I have plenty of company when it comes to frequently "taking one more look" at the site to see your latest project. Apart from thanking you for taking the time to share "what's possible", I keep being reminded of this other story of "what's possible (if highly improbable)." I hope it's not a breach of netiquette to provide the link. I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere, and it's a great read:

Windshield & Wipers

Scratchbuilt from mostly brass and some aluminum.
The main frame and wipers are brass, soldered together.
The upright stays are machined aluminum as well as the hardware. (Even has a washer system.)
The C/F is Scale Motorsport Hi-Def.
About 40 parts in this assembly.
I started almost two months ago on the first frame. Built it and finished it, but I didn't like the way it looked on the car, wasn't really bad, just not right to me, so I started over. At least I was able reuse the wiper assembly and uprights, (still had to refinish those).
While it may resemble the standard configuration of a Super Seven windshield, it is very different, especially when you consider the kit I started with, (JPE), uses a little frameless deflector type... - Mark

Re: Blue Seven (Parts 3)

I have a slow dial up computer, yeah yeah shut up I know its not 1995 anymore. So it is hard to go back and look at all your previous posts a look at 15 pages of pictures, so could you take a couple of pics that have all the parts for this Seven that you have made thus far? I am working on a Seven too, but mine is oly 1/24 and the only scathbuild part is, well none of it, but I did swap in a Zetec.

What you can actually do is click his username, and go to his profile. There you can search for all his posts, and it'll bring up results with a short summary of each post so you can go right to the pictures that you need to see.

Re: Blue Seven (Parts 3)

this look awesome. You never stop to impress us.

This is something I regret a bit with my JPE kit, the missing full windshield. I wanted to have one, but the Circle fender version with this windshield was over $100 more than the JPE...

continue your great work !

Re: Blue Seven (Parts 3)

I know I can look at a summary, but wouldn't you guys like to see one or two pics that have all the parts together, so we can get one full glance at all his amazing progress.

I do offer that up at the TamiyaCon's, GSL's and to modelers I meet at shows. Actually to anyone who'll listen if you ask my wife...

Regarding a few pictures of it together, it's not together yet. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the request. It's still just a bunch of sub-assemblies. I am working on the frame and have recently actually started to "build" it into a car, but don't have anything to show yet. Don't worry, I'll share... - Mark
