Well...since Moppie has effectively closed the thread debating this issue by spamming it to hell and back,I shall answer it here.

I have worried many times that my posts would cause offence,and on occasion have P.M.'ed people practically begging their forgiveness for wrongs that I have perceived as having made against them.Frankly,I think this is a trivial matter compared to some that I have previously got entangled in.

If anybody is expecting an apology,I am sorry,but you are dreaming.A harmless little prank to liven up a dull night on the board never hurt anyone.

For the record,yes,I moved the thread for a few hours.And as soon as I saw thatONE person objected,I moved it back.In the time that it was away from the board,3 people opened it,none of them bothered to add to it,and 5,997 odd AF members knew nothing of this 'drama'.
Spunky happened to mention that other members hardly ever come here any more.If it has become a private party, that's not surprising.

Idon't claim to be a saint, or wish to hide behind recent events,or even claim to understand what all the fuss is about.Any thread in this forum can be accessed by anybody who visits OT.And it is hardly a controversial,or secret or even,in places,interesting thread.If you guys want to let it become a festering sore on the face of this forum because I dared to have a little fun with the litte extra responsibilities that I have been granted....o.k. - just don't expect me to stay and watch.See you around.

Frankly, I don't give a shit one way or another. Although, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for destroying the forums and scaring everyone off.

I can see how the concept of a private party might be concieved, and I'm sure that everyone knows who the other part of the party is percieved to be. Actually - there never were that many members posting here, there are lurkers, people who have moved on and newcomers (interestingly enough, people who the "private party" chat to on regular occasions). But obviously they others have been scared off.

All I can say is that in this case I think it's time for a break from AF (well other than the 4G forum) and Asia/Pacific in particular. No great loss for anyone else, I'll just smile, cop it on the chin and stick to my other haunts It's not even worth getting upset about

Thanks to all the friends I've made here - keep in touch I doubt that there's one person I haven't enjoyed chatting to or meeting in real life.

If the change will do you good, go for it,but don't unload it all on me.I'm out of this forum for a while anyway.Never had a Honda,came for the intelligent conversation and the easy-going attitudes.Can't see any reason not to continue as friends....it's all just 1's and 0's as far as I can see.
