Re: WIP: Calsonic Skyline GT-R (R34)

Thats nice... Love the little details, but, the steering column, steering wheel centre and the bottom half of the dash is, I think CF. Doesn't matter too much, I've got this kit to do yet...

You are right about the wood panel underneath. When I built my pennzoil, I just painted it buff. Keep the updates coming.

Re: WIP: Calsonic Skyline GT-R (R34)

Thanks for the encouragement mickbench, i've just found some interior pics thanks to some kind AF members, and all the parts you mentioned are CF. But I'll CF them on my Pennzoil and Loctite Zexel GT-Rs.

Re: WIP: Calsonic Skyline GT-R (R34)

Very nice, looking great especially if you say you haven't been building for a while!
I have the same kit on the go too.
What colour did you use as it's very bright? It's the one thing I can't seem to settle on for mine. I used a Ford Capri blue for my last R33 so went for that again. Does it look about right?
Also you say the side pods are wood? WHY? Seems odd!

Great job. I just picked up the '03 version two days ago. I'm really looking forward to it now that I've seen your build.

Judging by your skills I would've thought you were a seasoned veteran of model making. Very nice work and clean detailing. Im not that familiar with this car very much and was wondering if there really was 2 strips of wood where you put the CF decals instead.
