Damn Filthy Dormitories. - Page 2

This is Boston University, right in the middle of a really high-rent city. I could find apartments around here for less, there are studios for 700-800 a month, but I've seen them, and they are FALLING APART. They look much, much worse than what I am living in now, and are probably equally infested.

I've seen decent ones for about the same price, but they are further away from campus; right now I am in the dead center of campus, and my classes are only about 90 seconds away on foot; some of the off-campus apartments are 15-20 min away or more. Many require you to take public transportation daily.

Basically, this is my best choice given the circumstances, I just would have like the "best choice" to have been a little better.

I'll just drink my ass off and tell myself the mice and roaches are just the DT's.

Hey at least you have a room. My semi nice "apartment"(4 singles, kitchen, shower, common room. AC) burned down... so im suck in freshman complexes. with no heat, bunches of white kids that think they are from the getto. and that dont flush the toilete or take their trash out, (the commnunal closet is piled 5 feet high with trash). but a mouse is prety fucking bad.

Eh, I'm a senior now, gonna be graduating in a few months (unless I fuck up this semester), no use in transferring

...

And if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go to the same school... I just wouldn't pick this damn dorm again, lol.

he's prolly paying that much because it includes food?? That's about how much i paid when i lived in the dorms.plus the wonderful $600 (yes, six hundred) a year for parking.

get some roach killer food. set out poison traps or something. being a girl, i probably would've fainted or lost my voice from screaming at the sight of roaches or a mouse in my bed.

Dude that isn't that bad. I pay around $7000 a year (30 wks) for my room and I wake up on a saturday morning to go take a piss and find puke laying on the floor, trash all over the place, and piss all over the toilet seats so there is no clean place to take a shit. Granted this is not directly the school's fault, but it is because they have no cleaning on the weekends. Sunday's are even worse. Whats even more pathetic is that unless you are a graduate student or you actually live within 25miles of the school you have to live on campus. Granted it's a fucking dorm with communal bathrooms, but for the prices we pay the place should be fucking spotless. You know what I would do to have my own bathroom? I'm lucky enough that my roomate moved out so I now have a room to my self. Peace-
