99 is when McRae crashed during the night stages, turns out he crashed ontop of another competitor's car which had been left after an earlier incident. It was his second major DNF in two rallies after his huge Rally Australia accident (which while it did not injure McRae is still considered by him to be the biggest accident of his career)

Oh yes I remember Australia crash !! :22yikes:
Car turned the bad sens on a fast jump and fly directly against a tree !! just like that =>

But on my opinion the one that most impressed me is his accident when he went out of the road jumping in a corsica ravine in 2000 after hitting the inside of a corner...!
I lived it on a giant screen in the Paris Auto World Show... everyone in front of the screen had the same frightened whisper at the same second !
(it was on onbaord image... Brrrr)

but colin is a specialist ! he didn't get "mc crash" name for nothing...!

Beautiful build Steve.
I have the exact same kit sitting on my desk to build as the Aust car before tree (or after tree if I stuff up). I had been thinking of using the Tamiya TS36 Fluro red, however the orange looks a good match. Go the Vatanen Legacy.
