Re: WIP: 1994 Diablo VT " Lambo Thirty"

i would love to get myself an airbrush and start laying down them cobra colours...
as for the interior, i personally am still a big fan of the old black and light tan/biege combo.

Your diablo looks killer in this color. Nice shine

Here's pics of a Lambo Thirty painted Diablo with custom interior by West Coast Customs. It's complete with Albino alligator center console and white ostrich skin leather on the seats, and door panels.

Re: WIP: 1994 Diablo VT " Lambo Thirty"

Hmmmm Matt I believe that interior is a bit too blingy for me!!! Although I think the grey tone is the way to go, with some purple piping perhaps???

Anyways... thanks for all the suggestions guys.. a little update... Body is polished, and panel lines washed.....pay no attention to the rear fender marker lamp in yellow. The rear bumper mounts there and taking it on and off flaked off the paint. It will get repainted clear red later.....

Too blingy..???? You realize the car is purple with chrome wheels, right?

I put those pics up as a joke. I agree, that scheme is a bit outrageous to have to look at for any legnth of time.

I can't believe that wasn't polished in the first pics, your polishing sessions must take 10 minutes or less.

Re: WIP: 1994 Diablo VT " Lambo Thirty"

Now that the F430 is complete, I decided to jump on the Diablo. The interior was painted in tamiya sky grey. I decided to add purple contrasting piping to the seats and around the dash using detailmaster ignition wire in purple. I also flocked the interior, added some scratchbuilt seatbelt catches and will add seatbelts to this one once I add the rear deck shelf.

Re: WIP: 1994 Diablo VT " Lambo Thirty"

I detailed out the glass tonight, I used a black sharpie for the black borders and carefully painted the frames on the outside molded into the glass with semi flat black. Then I carefullly waxed the glass to give it nice clarity and installed it. It fits very well and since its a snap kit, it fit easily with no glue!!

I also started the powerplant. This kit SUPRISINGLY has a nicely detailed engine. I am not going overboard with. The upper intake plenum covers alot of detail up. Still, its a nice representation of the lambo V-12.

Re: WIP: 1994 Diablo VT " Lambo Thirty"

thats a great looking build, I specialy like the purple piping on the interior, did you carve out the wrinkles in the backrest of the seat or was it molded in the kit, also hows the ride height of this kit, I have been thinking of picking this kit up but if I have to do alot of modifying I might as well order a fujimi enthusiast model. love the engine so far.
