Re: Wish me luck guys....
I think those lines from the Rad. are for just draining it. I may be wrong; we just took the cap off of those and fluid just came out.

Re: Wish me luck guys....
I can't remember the exact size. 30mm ish. Maybe a tad smaller. Just make sure your chain is clear from everything when you pull, and take it slow. This is usually when you break things.

Re: Wish me luck guys....
I'll check tomorrow on the size. I broke a breaker bar (1/2") trying to get that nut off my old accord. (that was with a pipe to extend it to about five feet long) I also couldn't get the one off my talon until i bought a better impact (660 ft lbs!!!). How high does the torque go on your impact? You may need to buy a new one.

Re: Wish me luck guys....
Ok. We used Mikes old DP to get enough torque to loosen a stuck bolt on a crossmember on the bottom of the engine bay and thats what we figured we would have to do for this too. I hope it doesnt break like yours did, that sucks. We got a 30mm and it was a hair too small so I took it back and got a 1 1/4 and it fit good. It might be a 32mm, but they are really close. We're going to try it tomorrow, I'll post back on how it went.

Re: Wish me luck guys....
Man haven't you guys ever heard of a garage?
haha just kidding. I'm about to rip the engine out of this new gsx on saturday, once I pick it up ![]() It takes us about an hour to pull a mustang engine, so i'm interested to see how long it takes us to pull a 4g63

Re: Wish me luck guys....
Nope, we dont have garages up here, just teepees and log cabins
. Mike doesnt have a garage so we are kinda boned. It died and we towed it to his house, couldnt get it running, and there isnt anywhere around his house that we could take it to. So we just have to buck up and do it outside in the snow and cold. Whats really interesting is that his driveway is dirt, not paved, so its not even. It gets kinda interesting trying to jack it up and gets even more interesting working underneath it. Once we get it up on jackstands we definately push it from the front, back, and sides 3-4 times each to make sure its solid. In the summer we have a 2x10 that we lay accross under the car and put the jackstands on, but the ice and ground are hard enough so we dont have to do that in the winter. When we have to be under the car we are working on we take it to my house (paved driveway) but thats not an option so we have to get creative .So far, I have put in about 5 hours and Mike has put in maybe 3. He watches me a lot and hands me wrenches or something. It used to bother him that I did most of the work, but he doesnt realize that I have read the Haynes manual 3 times straight through (exaggerating, but it seems like it sometimes) and I spend a LOT of time on here and DSM tuners just reading. An hour? Bastards, all of you Mustang guys, bastards .
