I've done the FWB thing. We were good friends, and ended up hooking up. Agreed it woulnd't mess with the friendship, and every now and then when we saw each other stuff would happen. Smeh. I didn't call her up for bootycalls or anything like that. It was actually really good, because we had a strong emotional connection.

As long as both people know where they stand and are aware that it won't do anythng to their friendship unless they let it, then it's all good.

Once feelings develop though, well, it's all over.

The whole first threads thing is sort of creepy but since you brought up the friends with benefits thing and while I'm visiting this totally pointless thread I figured I'd post my first opinion about it.................

if and only IF you and your friend can pull off that sort of shit without messin up your friendship outside of the bedroom then by all means GO FOR IT!!!! I've got a friend with benefits and I must say it's the BEST thing that ever happened to either of us and the sad thing is that she is practically married and (for some reason) the guy gets jealous of me when his fiancee leaves him in the middle of the night and comes to my house and he at times doesn't hear from her for like a day or more each time.

I can't figure out this guys jealousy, am I doin something that he can't or is he just that insecure?

She's practically married yet leaving to "hang" out with you. Not gonna lie thats fucking pathetic, on BOTH your parts. If she is almost married she shouldnt be doing shit like that to her "significant other". Your just as bad because of how disrespectful it is because you KNOW they are practically married. Guys like that piss me off. See a girl and it doesnt matter if they have someone or not, they just see a peice of ass. If i ever seen some guy doing that shit to my gf i would be hitting that, with a baseball bat for being a disrespectful peice of shit.

For the most part if it was just a regular friend maybe but a close friend no because I'm not the the type of person who can view a friend like that after such an experience, I couldn't view them the same way again thus ruining the long friendship we had.

Well, I gotta go with D on that although I've been in Pimp's position and the guy she was with was actually seein 2 other women. So it worked out, kinda. Longer story attached to that.

As for FWB, well, it can work but just people that'd do booty calls, no. I've had it with this one girl and it wasn't a booty call thing, but like we were available for each other for whatever. The very dependable friend and the sex only happened occasionally depending on the situation. So it was a FWB, just the benefits weren't always sex related and that's about as close you can get without developing feelings or considering it slutiness {insert better word if ya got it].

Oh yeah, the only reason we never developed real feelings, I was goin' tomove in a few months a long ways away and then i kept coming back from college to visit and leave etc. So, yeah...although now I live here, damn those feeligns will always catch up.
