Re: interior rennovation

greyrealsteam, I actually I was planning on doing that same thing, removing the headliner lights and putting white leds or white neon lights in (and block them off a little bit so it wouldn't be too harsh).

88camaroproject, I'm going to be doing the exact same thing to my car... i just didn't know whether I could get the panels in black from yearone or GM or if I would have to paint them. i'm sure I'll end up painting them with the same paint... because of price. Anyway, how did you get the sun screen out? you know the part right behind the rear seats?

I see new front seat but what are you going to do with your rear seats?

Also you should probably sand and paint the floor mounts for the front seats... looks like rust there.

Also, it's not going to bother you have seats that don't recline? It's gonna be a pain getting somebody into the back seat.

Re: interior rennovation

well i didnt get new front seats. when i bought the car those were already in there. i just pulled them out and took the covers off so they are bare plastic while i paint in the garage. plus i bought new back seats that are black over on thirdgen.ord. and i dont have one of those sunscreen things in my car. your talking about the roll out screen to cover the tunk area right? and those pics are a little old. everything that loks like rust was sanded, then i put ospho rust eating stuff on it then painted it with rustoleum paint. i will put some new pics up tomorrow. and yeah, its annoying when the seats dont recline, but im not buying new ones so its all good. i just slide the front seats up and people fit in.

Re: interior rennovation

Is that a "for rent" sign where your blower should be? Anyways i commend you on taking that all apart. It would take about a month to get it all back together right.

Re: interior rennovation

yeah its a keep out sign, the other side i sanded and painted gloss black to cover that hole. and another hole for ac. but yuo cant see the other one . ace hardware only had signs and small peices of metal so i bought one sign and covered all the holes. looks good. and it actually only took like 6 hours to take everything out. then the rest was painting and cleaning and now i have just been waiting on the sound deadener.... hope it comes tomorrow

Re: interior rennovation

Just a quick question.. why are you getting sound deadener? Wouldnt it be better to keep it light or are you going to put a badass sound system in later?

Re: interior rennovation

I just took the seats out(back seats also) this weekend because the t-tops leaked and there was a lot of water in those seats(drying inside now). I decided to replace the carpet, I'd love to buy new seats but I can't umm acknowledge that expense right now.

What everyone's opinion on putting the late model interior, 98-02 dash and console in? Convenient? or Rice. Any Neutrals lol?

Re: interior rennovation

Why would you want to do that? Im just asking but, im sure it would be a bitch to get it all in.. and have the gauges read correctly. Im neutral on this, btw.

Im sure people here have seen a 3rd gen that did that.. it had 4th gen interior inside of it, like all of it was 4th gen, and if I remember correctly the dash or the door panels didnt close correctly because of something, I cant remember, but it looked good.

Re: interior rennovation

i got 100 square feet of fatmat from ebay for 130 shipped. and the sound deadener is for road noise, exhaust, wind noise, just averything, and it stops rattles and stuff. and plus it will seal my car better cause it covers all the little holes and stuff. and i might get just like one 12 or a 10 just to make everything sound better. i dont want rediculous bass. cause i dont listen to much rap. plus i could barely hear my music with all thge engine noise and stuff.
