Re: Inconsiderate F\/ck$

I hate how people view bikers. On my way to work this summer, a bike on a ~03 gixxer crashed in the middle of the road. It was a slower speed crash probably like 35 mph. He crashed in the middle of the road and people were going AROUND him. Pissed me of so much that people are so inconsiderate to people. Sorry to hear about your bro in law.

Re: Inconsiderate F\/ck$

yea, i dont know how people can say he deserved it, it's not like he'd gone an done something to them. i think he learned his lesson but i dont think he deserved the injury.

like with what travis said, my sister came off her bike down the road from here an no one stopped to help her, they all drove around her. she wasnt driving dangerously, she just lost grip on the rear tyre an the thing slipped. it disgusts me how people jut drive around with the mentaility "it's not my problem"

Re: Inconsiderate F\/ck$

would you class "i think he deserved it" the same as "Im glad he got himself injured" ?

Re: Inconsiderate F\/ck$

not really, although im sure some people feel that way. i think by "he deserved it" they're saying he did something stupid and he should be injured because he did something stupid. but "im glad he got himself injured" implies that they enjoyed him getting hurt. im sure that some of them didnt gain any sort of pleasure from seeing him injured but think that he should be punished with the said broken leg.

Re: Inconsiderate F\/ck$

Alright, I've been to his room and talked to him, and the people riding with him.

He was catching up to the group after leaving lunch, is why he was "weaving" in and out. When he wrecked, he had just gotten on the gas to move up a position in the line, when a good gust of wind twisted his front wheel. Tank slap started and down he went. All the other riders confirmed this.

I believe this story 100%, as the wind(during that week) was strong enough that I ahd to hold my steering wheel at a 45-90º angle while goin down the freeway. It was insane.

Now, did he "deserve" it? Was he really such a dumbass for trying to catch up to his friends after lunch?

Those that think he whole heartedly deserved his injuries, I hope the next time you go 2mph over the limit, your insurance skyrockets, for one reason or another, cause you were "stupid and dumb" for speeding and being reckless.

Re: Inconsiderate F\/ck$

i know my dad's been in a few motorbike accident so i can sypathise with him, and i know that once you've got tank-slap its hard to stop it, the only way to stop tank-slap is to go faster. dont think he deserved it at all, especially since it was tank-slap and not the fact he was doing something he shouldn't.

Its to bad that going 2 mph over isnt considered reckless, and weaving in and out of traffic is. If i do go "2" mph over and happen to get in an accident and my insurance goes up you can bet i wont be whining on a message board about it. Because i would deserve it. But because he was on a bike and got hurts its totally different and everyone should feel sorry for him? I dont think so, he was weaving in and out of traffic (reckless) so i dont feel one bit of sympathy for him.

He didn't whine on a message board about it. He's still in the hospital getting xrays, mri's, and whatnot.

I'm complaining about people not noticing the difference between giving sympathy and saying they deserve it, then saying someone deserves bodily injury when they did nothing to hurt you. If you're not affected by what happened, then you have no right to say what the person does or does not deserve, because you were not involved.

Re: Inconsiderate F\/ck$

You don't hafto be ulta sympathetic to him, but you can be human and feel for him. If you snapped your leg on a bike trying to catch up to your buds you wouldn't want people to look at you as being a reckless driver and such. I will say though, if the wind was that bad, they probably should've chosen a different day to go riding.

You took the whining comment wrong, i was talking about if i was in the situation i described, not the bikers.

You're not alone with that statement.
