well thanx rob. we have a whole cast of charactors helping us, from my mom dad bro and sisters to cousins and friends. trust me i'd go insane without our support posse. we're lucky cause theres moms and kids goin thru stuff alone. And they don't even have transportation n shit. we have this red devil of a 4x4 with its handycaps. lol. when i fix the blazers never ending problems i put my son in his $4000 special needs stroller(over priced by $3850) and we hangout and fix what needs fixin. he usually gives up rather early into it tho. and his dad takes him into see gramma and grandpa. with out them my/our blazer would never get fixed. o and theres this big steep hill at the bank. so i drove up it, parked and added fluid til all the air bubbled out of the rad. with the stant its a nice pressured system.

Yes, I would drop it to 70/30 for sure. Easy to do, just open the radiator petcock and drain the rad a bit and top it off with water.

Too high of a concentration has its drawbacks as well.

GB , the manufacturors of antifreeze recomend a 50/50 mix . most offer it in the jug like that . you can get one of those little bulb and straw thingys that measures the specific gravity of what you have in it now before you try to adjust it . They show what temp you are protected down to without having to guess at it . Rob

50/50 will protect down to -38c I think, better to go no lower than 60/40 and overprotect the freezing point than go to thin.

You easterners think you know cold...

We had a day last winter that was -45°C BEFORE the windchill (that's -49°F!). With the 40-50km winds that day you were liable to poke someone's eyes out just by breathing upwind from them!!
