Hmm... OK that was pretty funny, considering it was me that certainly let it be known I wasn't overly happy with the new line of Tamiya metal chassis kits..

Oh to be so naïve…..

That kit really sucks though, it has a metal chassis.

What were Gunze thinking when they made it with a metal chassis?

Yeah very funny..!! But it has an engine..!! And, shock a full engine..!! Tamiya can't give that nowadays..!!

All joking, does look like a nice kit, I'd never get one, bet it costs the earth by now.. Ebay or something??

That is a releif, since they're so hard to find it will make us all sleep better knowing they're no good. (Who's convinced?)

ALthough I do have the E-type. Appears to be a fantastic, but difficult kit.

Re: Gunze Sangyo Hi-Tech website

Actually the E-Type doesn't have a metal chassis. But since when did the truth have any bearing on the internet?

I know from building the GTO's that not only were the metal chassis horrible, ALL of the cast metal parts were archaic.

Castings were so bad I had to scratchbuild nearly the entire rear end, replacing parts with tubing, sheet metal and the like. . .

While the engines weren't quite as bad, the castings still left a lot to be desired. I swear I must have gone through mini files like they were toothpicks. . .

Honestly Alex, if you're really annoyed by a little bold text or ALL CAPS for that matter, perhaps you need to reevaluate the impact message board etiquette has on you. . .
No, but perhaps I should just leave the board where posts of other members annoy me. There is too much crap on AF lately, and the sad thing is - nobody really cares. Bye!

Sorry you feel that way Alex. Unfortunately AF (and almost every other Internet forum) has long been a case of sorting through the crap. We've tried to improve things on occasion but found it easier to just roll with it, rather than impose draconian measures.

Hmmmm I've been on AF for a couple of years now and this has to be one of the better forums around . . . The "crap" as you will have it, is pretty nonexistent here. Not sure what your definition of "crap" is though.

As with so many other boards, my definition of "crap" is constant bickering, pissy attitudes, trouble making threads and so on. . .

Sorry, but I just don't see that around here. . .

Ya know Alex, I meant no offense with my previous post and it was put forth with no ill will. I just thought your critique of bold text and ALL CAPS was a bit much. That's across the board though, not just with you.

Anyone that is truly annoyed by bold text or "all caps" needs to adjust their level of annoyances as it's just such an easy thing to ignore or look past . . . In other words, they need to lighten up. There are so many other things to be annoyed with rather than a few lines of text. . .

I too am sorry you feel the way you do. Ya seem like a pretty levelheaded and talented guy. So why the obvious overreaction?
