No it would be called my expense account smart ass. I don't need daddy to buy a new skyline. I make more money that my mom and dad do anyways. As I advise you keep your comments to yourself when It comes to my finances cause it is none of your damn business

Because I bought the Eclipse while I was still in college. I have about one year left with payments on. I just graduated from college last year people. Besides I want to leave it stock because It is going to be my daily driver.

Re: thoughts on concept gtr?

i dont know what you guys are talking about.
its better looking than any other skyline already.
and the impala tail lights were blatantly copied from the skyline. not the other way around.
and i have no idea where you got the ssr comparison from. it looks nothing like that piece of ass truck wannabe.

oh and railblade, if your more worried about looks than performance, go rice out a scion and leave the real cars to real drivers.

oh and dbo, thats an old pic. look at the new ones.

Re: thoughts on concept gtr?

ah well those pics make it look like the next gen g35, and thats all it is but it'll have nissan badges and a different engine.. i dont mind that

and slideways, i think what raiblade meant was that the only part worth investing in is the engine.

Re: thoughts on concept gtr?

thats what im talking about. theres waaay more to that car than just teh engine. id bet good money the aero has been wind-tunnel tested to provide lots and lots of useable downforce. and the AWD(if indeed it is AWD) will be better and more sophisticated than ATTESA ETS-Pro II that the R34 had. and the (probably)7 speed transmission. 2 mechanical LSDs and 1 mechanical/electronic LSD. this car is gonna be beyond sick. i just hope they keep the weight under 1550kg or else its just going to kill most of the improvements that they made.

i dunno. it might just be me, but other than being obviously based on the same platform as the G35, and the fact that the G35 is even called a skyline everywhere else, it doesnt look that much alike.
i really dont understand people's gripe with its looks(being similar to other nissans). dont you think that the performance skyline and the base model skyline should look somewhat alike? and the skyline has always been similar to the Z. given this is the first time they have shared looks, but the Z has always shared alot, whether it be the motor, suspension, ect.

to be continued...

yes those 2nd and 3rd links are what i remember off that one website thats now shut down.. i like it. and im sure i have heard its going to be its own car not really sharing anything from the G35 besides the general shape. and it wont have nissan badges whoever said that...

from the reviews of the new Z06 (any and all that i have read) the car mags dont really like it saying it was unpredictable and it has had some weird kinks like catching air and stepping out the rear dangerously from little bumps that have never bothered any cars before, so i think they will all take the GT-R over the Z06 due to the awd and aws and hopefully predictable behavior

its called taking the transverse monoleaf farther than it was ever designed to go.

Oh man....

In my theory...
Nissan(not sentra) and Mazda(RX-*) guys are the Elite of the Imports
Cobra and Trans Am guys are of the Domestics

I think the GT-R is gonna be king of the tracks again if it can have a curb weight of 3200ish and it sports 350-400BHP. Nissan is known for creating potential and all around good cars.

FYI...the Curb Weight of an Enzo Ferrari is 2700 and the new Z06 is 3200ish.
