Re: 02 TB Has Vibration at 65 - 70 MPH
OK, I noticed the vibration again today as it was a bit colder out. I've also noticed that even on warmer days the vibration is there, just not as prominant. I suspect that warmer temps allow the suspension to dampen it better. In all cases, the vibration and rumble noise seem to be coming from the driver side front.
I ended up jack up the entire front of the vehicle and performing a "stare and compare" spin test between both front tires. The passenger side turns smooothly. The driver side front tire makes a low pitched clicking sound as I turn it. I also hear a low pitched rumble from that area when coasting at 20 mph or less. I suspect a bad wheel bearing. Back to the dealer tomorrow... Unbelievable, I had it in last week for an oil change and asked them to check that kind of thing while it was on the lift. They said all looked good.. must not have looked too hard. I'll post back my results. |
