black top is the 88-91 zc from europe and japan.. the use never saw this engine.. brown/olive top is the 88-89 integra that wont bolt in, just like that site says...

and yeah..the engine side only has one mount. the other 3 are on the tranny..so depending on tranny..

There arent any to buy here.......its kind of hard to get you hands on one all the junkyards are full of 1,3-1,5l engines....and non of them are even B series......and ebay well i dont got 1000$ for a engine. If the engine on ebay is like 600$ then the shiping in the US about 250$ and then over seas to Estonia + toll+tax+ some littel feas.....it will cost me a lot And dont start with cars form germany U buy it and as soon as you get home the car dies.....they beat the s"¤t out of they cars

But ok if its not a teg engine then will a 1,6 block work or still the same?

The 1st gen integra doesn't bolt into the 4th gen civic with out some modifications... Timing belt side motor mount... like you mentioned... but the rear bell housing bolt wont line up either. Currently i'm trying to put a second gen ZC into a 3rd gen REX which is just about the opposite of what you are doin. but i'm using an integra transmission and the ZC motor and not all of the bolt holes line up... I had to modefy the block a bit to get all of the bolts to work.

Re: What engine is this?

Use the teg pistons in the Civic motor.

I agree. Tear both motors down and build one up. Better use premium gas though and tune it.

Question: How exactly does the distributor work for carbed engines since there is relatively no ECU or lack of certain aspects in that respect? Is it more of a vaccum timing advance or something?

Seems to be in working order.

the distributor uses vaccum from the engine to work.

Re: What engine is this?

Wow. The intake manifold is a lot different than ZC or Si manifold. If you're going to try to stuff that engine into your car and wire it over to PGMFI, you may be a little upset that you did all that for 18 more hp? than what you have now. However, if you take those teg pistons out of that engine and stuff them into your current engine and keep your carbs, your car will probably gain that 18hp easy.

I have a 1,4L GL dualcarb 66kw or 90hp stock.....you cant fit 1,6 pistons in a 1,4 .....and abot the intake. I am going to buy something better....if i do find a DOHC 1,6 thats bolts up ill try to make something of the 2 engines

Re: What engine is this?

Hey Deadboy, I'm not trying to burst your bubble but you just paid $300 for a set of cams.

I'm a 1G CRX guy so I'm very familiar with this motor. The ZC1 is an '85-'87 Integra motor (yes, JDM Integras were available in '85). The "brown top" Integra ZC motor has a lower compression ratio and lower HP than any other DOHC ZC motor. It still has more HP than a USDM Integra motor but the only difference is the cams. For the amount of work involved in getting this motor to swap into your car, you might consider picking up a cheap 1G CRX or 3G Civic and swapping the ZC1 motor in, then selling it. This motor WILL fit in a 1G CRX if you also swap in a 1G Integra tranny and steering knuckles, the guy you bought this motor from was just blowing smoke up your a$$. This motor will not fit easily into a 2G CRX of 4G Civic, as KrisSmithRocks said, you'll be doing the exact opposite of what he's doing.
