I was just playing Mario Brothers on the NES... Best classic game of all time. (Lets not forget duckhunt too, lol.)

Re: happy turkey day

Duck hunt, FUCK YEAH. That was the coolest damn game ever. I used to sit and stare at that damn gun and try to figure out how I was shooting ducks on the tv with a plastic gun. Never figured it out.....

Re: happy turkey day

Well, I'm not sure. Doesnt it just "take a picture" of what you shoot at and if the game thinks it looks like a duck, it kills the duck?

Nope, whenever you would pull the trigger the screen would flash like you were shooting a real gun or something... Well, it would actually flash the entire screen black and the duck would be a white square. Also when you would pull the trigger it would actually shoot a laser and if it reflected back white you would hit the duck, if it reflected back black it would be a miss... Or it might be a white screen and a black duck, I can't remember which it is. But yeah, thats how it works... So in theory, whatever color it was flashing the duck to represent you could sit there and shoot the specific color everytime and it would be considered a hit. Nowadays, our technology is much more advanced so we are able to make certain things in shooting games represent different objects (good guys, bad guys, extra lives, different guns, etc...) because we are able to use many more colors and hues for the laser to detect. Anyways, just a little science lesson for ya.

Re: happy turkey day

Happy Thanksgiving all! Tofurkey for me! My brother preordered xbox 360 and picked it up at midnight a couple days ago. He drove past the line at Best Buy where people had been in line since a couple weeks ago. Bill Gates was there too later.
