Nice car, but I'm not sure what your motivation is for posting such a comment.

I guess he needed to prove to himself that he's a stud.

Third generation RX-7 Twin Turbo.

Pretty manly isn't he?

Hey, next time you're near a dealer, could you find out how much a Diesel P10 radiator runs?

Actually I really like the 3rd gen RX-7's. I was looking at them before I bought my G. You can get them pretty cheap now. Lots of the guys that bought them are trying to get rid of them because they are too much hassle. It's the type of car that needs to be well maintained, it's pretty finicky. The SCC project RX-7 really got me thinking about these cars. They look timeless and will definatly be a classic. I'd drop the cheezy TT setup for a single big hair dryer.

What kept me from buying one? I didn't feel like paying $500+/month for insurance. I have a thing about paying more for insurance than I'd pay for financing.

Why is the insurance so expensive? My "mandatory" insurance costs me around $80 a year. In case of an accident I only pay for damages to my car (if I'm guilty)...

not to mention if you want to increase the performance or just drive it a bit harder, you gotta rebuild the rotary. but it's a great car, i love it....btw, look for the up coming Turbo magazine with a orange FD...it was done by our friend, SP engineering...can you say 700 daily driven HP????

You really should get a front mount intercooler - cost $200-1,000 depending upon a lot of factors and whether you buy new or used. Piping for said intercooler - I'd guess about $300-500. A JWT ECU gives you plug and play engine management - $500-600.

If you have a P10, HotShot should be producing the piping that I have made. I don't have any idea about price yet though.
George,
Is Hotshot producing a Turbo Kit for the P10 SR20DE? Or Just Piping and downpipe for a SR20DET transplant?

Boogie is right..... Diesel radiator provides better cooling. I have some overheating. It's right on the edge. No AC and it doesn't overheat. Temps below 90 F and it doesn't overheat. If I turn on the heater, the gauge drops like a stone.

I haven't forgotten the rear fogs. I just can't do it right now. It's on my list though. I really like them.

They are supposed to be using my IC piping to make a DET installation kit. In fact, I've been playing phone tag with John yesterday and today.

I want to redo the piping because I think I can do a better job, although the ones I have are pretty good. I just think I can improve them a bit.
