Ummm, the GMC Typhoon and Syclone were manufactured by General Motors (I think GMC mean General Motor Company) and were sold across dealers in the US.

The Syclone is a truck that came out in 1991 goes 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and has handling that can give a Ferrari a run for its money. It is pretty much a 90s rendition of the GNX. However, they are rare and are hard to find under $10k considering they were only produced from 1991-92, any that are are usually in crap condition. But like any 60s Charger, Mustang, Camaro or even a Grand National this truck will surely appretiate much in collector's value.

As for the Typhoon, it is pretty much the same exact engine and RWD biased close geared AWD transmission from the Syclone fitted into a 2 door Chevy Blazer body, with a redone grill, fenderflare and lowered but slightly mushier than the Syclone's suspention. Which means that the Typhoon is slightly lower speced than the Syclone all around, but that can change with tuning. The GMC Typhoon was produced for 2 years longer than the Syclone as well as in slightly larger numbers so you can find one in fairly good condition for a good price, if the person reconditioned after driving the hell out of it that is. This SUV will surely gain some collector's value as well, even though at slower rate than the Syclone.

Another rare automobile and one that is unfortunately or fortunateley more devalued is the car I drive, the Subaru SVX.

These cars are out there, they are just rare, as in 3rd gen RX-7 or even SVX rare, with the chances of seeing a Syclone driving around almost as rare as a Skyline in the US.

But they are out there, and unlike the Skyline or Supra they are not sold at too outrageous prices, even though it is right up there with a good condition VR4 or better yet 3rd gen RX-7. But you can probable find one that is cheaper or in better condition for the price because of the whole US automotive vs Japanese appretiative issue. Just check out EbayMotors or even Autotrader, unless you want to a great collector's car you would probably get a better value with the Typhoon.

Btw, I have seen a white GMC Typhoon once. But I have yet to witness a Syclone though.

Re: Maybe I am in need of a change?!?!?

Really, if that is in CAD than that is one incredible deal in USD. I suppose then a GMC Typhoon or Syclone would be the same price in your area as a R32, considering they were around for the same number of years (at least for the Typhoon and before the R33 came in).

these may be a little rarer than a FD or SVX. i have seen a few FD's and quite a few SVX's but never either of these. though i might have missed it beause of their sleeperness. either way...they arent my style.

speaking of FD's...for some reason there are tons of them for sale right now in my general area for cheap. i can pick up mint condition one for just over $12k. some going for as low as $9k, if i already didnt have the Z32...one of these would be mine. anyways...WTF? last time i looked at these for sale...i couldnt find one less than $18k.

Re: Maybe I am in need of a change?!?!?

yeah that's cad... dunno why they're so cheap, but partial reason is because they're not mint... they all have a few scratches and or dings here and there... some of them the interior's messed up or it's been modified or something... either way it's still MUCH cheaper than the 20k+ people were paying 2 years ago...

J it's because summer car's price's plummit during the pre-winter months with everyone trying to get rid of the car due to lack of garage space or something like that... makes for some GOOOOOooOOOod deals if you're looking in the right places

Perehaps you should then consider what DeleriousZ mentioned and go hunt for a Skyline in Canada.

Its just across a lake, one great lake which can be quite stormy at times and is made up of four lakes.

dude, if it were possible within reason...i would own an R33 GTR for a second vehicle but there is no way your getting me to pay $15k+ to legalize a car. it would be cheaper to just move to canada.

and yeah, i know sports cars decrease in value in the winter but that is ridiculous. even if they arent mint...$9k is a hell of a deal on a FD.
