Re: Soooooooo.........how the weekend

I see you werent using a hoist.........just the drop and slide method......jacking the car up, draining the fluids, disconnecting the lines the wiring harness, unbolting the mounts, the tranny, the axels, then drop the motor and slide out....but why didnt you just leave the suspention and the cross member intact and just disconnect the axels, now that I see probably couldnt slide out if you did that though never mind.......we did that a bunch of times when we didnt have a hoist but now we got one and our engine hauls are done ten times faster.....

Re: Soooooooo.........how the weekend

You need to only look at the second pic near the windshield to understand why it's taken so long..and it's understandable, after an hour of work i would probably start drinking the beer to, what is that, Tacate??

I didn't want to post it, but I had somewhat of a weekend. Friday was totally dead, but when I was cruizin around I got a few bites.

First car I saw was a scion tc. The car was coming down the road really quick so I paced it at about 70mph till' we hit a stoplight. I look over, and it's a good lookin' girl. We make I contact, and point forward with a big smile on my face. Light turns green, and I gun it, but she doesn't folllow up.

Next car I found going back and forth on the same road was an integra which looked to hve a stock exhaust, and 17" wheels. We hit a red light, and it's some teenager, and his buddy. I hold my engine at 3k getting ready to launch, and sure enough he does the same.

Light goes green, and I get a good half car on him. I shift to second then I hear this whining sound from his car. He drops back real quick. I drop down to 40mph (10 under the speed limit) to see if I could talk to him. he wouldn't even pull beside me until I dropped my speed down to 35mph. He wouldn't even look at me. He must have messed his car up,or felt bad about getting beat by a ratty ol' sentra.

Towards the end of the night I catch up with a few people att he grocery store parking lot. A hatchback that had some kind of engine swap, gutted, and a rollcage and a 92' or so 3kgt vr-4 decide to do a highway run. My buddy rides with me, and about 10 people leave down to the freway.

Once we get on the freeway everyone guns it for the hell of it. I end up doing like 125mph all the way down the freeway. It was pointless, but it was still fun. Turns out the civic beat the vr-4.

ABout 1 am by then so I head home. Fun night.
