a rebadged mazda6...and that's a bad thing how? the mazda 6 was a pretty decent car last time i checked. what's more, it doesn't share the same suspension and some (few) elements of the chassis are different. the fusion has its own springs, shocks, anti-roll bars and it has bigger brakes than the 6.

just because you have some qualm with ford doesn't mean everything is the "same ford crap". in fact, this car isn't the same ford crap at all. nice handling, braking, decent engine, good styling, good interior (when car and driver compliments an american car's interior, that's saying something), and i still think it has the best back seats of a midsized car i've ever sat in. in a car that starts at $17,000, that's dang good.
i'm also pretty excited about the awd drive version that should be coming out in a year or two. hopefully they'll put in the new 3.5 v6 too

The 3 is a different chassis (shared with the Euro Focus and the Volvo S40). The 6 is a decent car, and the Fusion is a stretched version with more interior room and more comfort. How you can call that crap is an example of what having too few brain cells will do to a person.

I heard that too, bigger six, more power and AWD standard. Sounds like something to actually spice up that segment.
