98 Blazer here; stock everything and when getting up to a around 2500 RPM the engine tends to get quite louder and a vibration can be felt in the floor. That; and the exaust seems to be getting louder over time. (It's rarely ran up to 2500; it usually shifts at a little under or over 2000 like normal.) The loud engine noise can be heard when going uphill when it downshifts and the RPMs go up.

Then again it does have over 111k miles

the only things that we've had to replace since having it has been a water pump, crankshaft seal, and alternator (which this 'new' alternator is already starting to go bad and it hasnt even been a year since replacement.)

Is it just me or do GM alternators not last very long?
