Re: vtec engine??

this thread has confused the hell out of me... wildryno the way you jumped into the thread made it seem like you and grimmis are the same people, so im with civicspoon... and if you search LS/VTEC it will have more info about the conversion than you'd even want to know.

Re: vtec engine??

yeah so grimmis and wildryno are different people im a little confused too. but anyway the engine code wouldnt necissarily tell you if it has a VTEC (no H) head. vtec heads have taller valve covers than the ls heads and i dont think that an ls valve cover (after market or stock) would fit on the vtec head. you could always take off the valve cover and look at the cam lobes, but uh checkin for the solonoid should be good enough (dont think any one would remove the solonoid from vtec head)

Re: vtec engine??

its as simple as this.

if you want vtec and if you have a b series motor with a non vtec longblock, your options are.

1. go ls/vtec or
2. buy a vtec b series longblock.

now you have vtec.

PS: trolls are not tolerated on any forums you will come across. the search function on the forums will yield you your answers.

Re: vtec engine??

there was a great LS/VTEC site found earlier this week or last weekend and if you search you will find it and that will help you immensely
