I think the poster you quote was referring to the sig images on the linked MBZ forum which are clearly 'out of control'.

I mentioned that I am in the process of buying a new computer. So, this is not the main issue.

Instead, it should be noted that my post's focus clearly was on clutter, repetitiveness and the cumulative surface occupied by sig pics, causing the new material posted to end up somewhat hidden among these. With contributors evidently putting lots of time in researching and preparing texts, thumbnails and new pics (some are of moderate size), these should graphically remain the threads' real highlights.

I nevertheless like your new sig. I even saved it on my disk, for it is a nice memento of one of Le Mans's best "first time out" wins!

Agree...you get to display a "sig" picture in your avatar. That should be it. I don't need to know what people's current mottos or quotes of the moment or pictures of the day are. Sigs are stupid. They should force you to "express yourself" on your profile page only.

Well for those who truly don't like signature images, or even avatars, the message board software does offer the option of turning them off.

Click "User CP" on the bar at the top of the page. Then click "Options" and scroll down to 'Thread View Options'. At the top is "Post elements - Select which user features you wish to appear in posts." allowing you to disable Signatures, Avatars, and even Images that have been embeded into a post.

Now everyone can be happy.

Re: More evidence that Kennedy's car may now be in TX

Still relatively new to the forum, I had forgotten about such options, which I only encountered upon my initial registration. I sincerely appreciated your last post, Erik. Now, this is a much appreciated and pertinent intervention! A1-OK and in line with one the moderator's diverse roles.

I just tried it and it does work! Forever gone is all that "sig noise" and much shorter are the pages to scroll back and forth. More important, we notice the shorter text posts more easily and each one of them flows below the previous one, clearly separated by a simple horizontal button line. The posts's new scans, digital pictures and http links really stand out now.

Thank you v.m.!

Btw, that isn't my photobucket acount or anything.
Time to change your lists once again...

After a day or two of research I have learned that those photos were taken in Atlanta, GA and that this car now has yet another new owner, who's name is Bruce Weiner. The photographer was a bit reserved, not really wanting to share any details, but there are always other sources when an Enzo is involved. In addition to that Enzo seen in the garage, he also owns an F50 and a few other desirable exotics so I am told.

Interestingly (to me anyway) he also owns The Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum in Madison, GA. I happen to really dig small quirky cars so I've put this on my list of places to go should I ever be in the Atlanta area. You can take a virtual tour on the website here:

Even more interesting is that Bruce owns the candy company (Concord Confections) that markets the brand "Dubble Bubble" bubblegum which I am sure most must be familiar with. Someone do the math on how many pieces of gum that McLaren was worth.

NICE detective work Peloton! I think that deserves a big thumbs up. I wouldn't have thought of using the Enzo to find the F1.

Thanks Malka

Someone sent me these shots of the car being delivered. They were posted on Fark.com by someone claiming to be the owner... ...probably not, unless it was Bruce's kid playing around.

Sorry they aren't bigger, and sorry there aren't more of them, but you take what you can get in this world.

Interestingly, the post is dated Sept 19th, and he claims "my F1 just showed last week" - that part could actually be true.

The building sure looks familiar.

Well we have the Keels and Wheels show where it was displayed by Brener who resides in Houston, and we have the shots you posted which were taken by someone in Texas. I think that gives plenty of credibility, I only wonder why Brener would have sold the car after such a short period of time.

Well my suspicions were correct - he even swapped over the same "SUTLE" license plate:
