Aaand I never said it was on topic. Saying 'telling this to a bunch of car-loving people' does not mean I think it was in the wrong forum to post.

In general...complaining to anyone isn't going to help him...I just singled out car-lovers because, well...thats who hes talking to.

A) Just because we love cars doesn't mean we don't have other interests at hand... Telling a group full of car lovers your problems with life! In a STRESS RELIEF forum, nonetheless; maybe one person would be touched enough to help him get back on the right track. In this case, a few people.

B) Maybe you should have read the link you clicked. It read "STRESS RELIEF" would you not assume, just for a moment, that this could be a place for someone to complain? Somewhere to get a problem off your chest? Recently an Af'ers 6 year old daughter almost got molested, and she posted it here. Are you going to yell at her because something terrible happened in her family? I didn't think so, so let's give this guy a little common curtosy why not? Maybe give him some good advice that he'd find helpful?

C) It doesn't matter how we call you a noob. there are quite a few ways to put it, but the meaning remains the same. Noob, noob, n00b, N00b, NoOb, nOoB, newb, Newb, newbie, noobis maximus, etc. THEY ALL MEAN YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO ACT LIKE YOU OWN THE FORUMS. This guy went to the right forums and has devoted over 1000 posts to AF and personally, I think he deserves to be able to vent.

D) Re-reading your post, I see you put "don't be lazy" I'm sure that's very easy for you to say. I can't imagine how hard it must be to try and get a job when you can't even put a phone number or address on your resume. I'm sure, no, certain he's trying to get a job, and people have even offered to help with his resume, but what right do you have to tell him he's being lazy. He's had a string of bad luck that's led from bad to worse, and he needs to vent and quite possibly, a little help getting back up on his feet.

You are probably the kind of person who laughs at hobo's because they can't get a job. Has the thought ever crossed your mind that they try to get a job, but fail? They try hard to work up the nerve to get a job, and trust me, if I was in that kind of situation I wouldn't have that great self asteem. Maybe some of them are too put down or ashamed to try again? in fear of failure.
