Re: Just finished my first all nighter...

Im always up 24-30 hours in the summer. Not for a school project though, hence how I have shitty grades. Have fun tonight with the first all nighter with a partner, haha.

Re: Just finished my first all nighter...

My all time no sleep record was at least 65 hours. Between the time zones and no sleep I could barely count to 6, let alone 66.

On a wierd side note, when I go that long without sleep, I act the same as when I'm drunk....

Ha! 71 hours, then I couldn't take anymore of the __________ show, fill in the appropriet time, ex. Tonight, daily, late night, etc. Yeah, it's hard to go through class with any sort of function when you're that tired. Raising my hand was a feat in itself, lol

Agree'd, on a side note, I wouldn't necessarily say drunk as much as just simply not making any sense of your surroundings. Which, I guess, is like being drunk. Nevermind *walks away*

Re: Just finished my first all nighter...

I have done quite a few all nighters. Had one last week ... worrying about something at work and online gaming .. LOL.

I have my own business at home at night and I work a full time job during the day. About a year ago I worked 40 hrs in 2 days (20 hour days for Monday & Tuesday with about 2 hrs sleep) and an additional 40 hours for the next 4 days (wed. to sat.). I swore I would never, ever work that much again so I cut back the amount of work at home.

Now all nighters are when I can't sleep or playing online ... they just happen and are not forced.

Agreed

To make it worse, I was addicted to World Of Warcraft when the session of Uni started.

I had to juggle 8 hours of Warcraft a day into my busy schedual.

I started the essays bit by bit, by the end I had about 500 words to complete, enough for me to own nooobs aaannndd get my work done.

The purpose: Don't play warcraft unless you have nothing else to do. It will devour whats left of your little sanity you have left, your family will break down...your girl will dump you, you won't get anything done! Well, at least that's what happeend in my case. Damn you blizzard, thou shalt taunt thine trees of winter!

The same with HALO!!!!!!!!!!!! holy shit the other night I got out of work at 1 and ended up playing halo untill 7 in the fucking AM!!!!!!!! Mind you i was drinking the entire time, but that shit is addicting! I keep telling myself "Only one more game." Then I keep playing. Online gaming should be restriced from people who actually have things to accomplish. Peace-

Hell Yes! I've had a couple of those this year already .

Hell, last night I finished a 4 hour article for the school paper. The trick with long papers is to start researching when you get the assignment. Last year I had a research paper to do that I had 3 weeks to finish. I started right off by getting the books (15+) that I needed and went through using sticky notes to mark the sections of pertinant information. Spent like an hour and a half each day researching. Finally the weekend before it was due, I started on it. I spent probably 30 hours going through the information and writing it between Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Got an A .

Moral of the story: MANAGE YOUR TIME PROPERLY!
