Re: WIP: Enzo X 2
Good news and bad news...Good news is, my LHS will SOON be carrying Tamiya paints! WOOHOO!!
Bad news is, they don't have them yet. I gotta find me some TS-8 somewhere else!

Re: WIP: Enzo X 2
Well, I made a lot of progress and had a neat how-to on an accurate fuel injector wiring harness, but I'm having some difficulty uploading pics right now, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow.
When I say a lot of progress, I mean I have both engines assembled and painted, and one is almost fully wired.

Okay, here's hoping this works.
To accurately wire the injectors: First, I used a knife to mark off my max height to run the main harness. ![]() Then, I used a Sharpie to mark off the spacing between injectors. ![]() I used a smaller gauge wire to model the individual injector wiring. I tied it off with metallic thread, which I've found is stronger and smaller in diameter than normal thread. It's also easier to cut. Use superglue to secure the knot. ![]() Repeat 5x for the remaining injectors. Note that each new wire butts up to the last wire; this avoids a huge, tapering bulk at one end. It also lets you model the differing diameters in the wires, as each injector wire is crinkle wrapped. ![]() I attached the wiring harness to the piece using thread and superglue. Once the glue is dry, trim the wires and wrap them up underneath the existing fuel rail. It's not really important where you stick 'em so long as they stay stuck, since there aren't molded injectors. ![]() Here's my stopping point last night. ![]() And, as I promised a few months ago, here's how messy I work.

Re: WIP: Enzo X 2
Not that messy of a worker, but you are in a very cramped space. I need to clean some stuff off my desk so I can spread out again. It's like 2 times larger than your main desk board, yet I have only 1/3 of it available to work in.
Awesome looking engine, can't wait to see these babies finished. |

Re: WIP: Enzo X 2
Actually the camaro in the back ground is my model i'm making of my 1:1 Hugger Orange SS. She has 2-3 of the SS models and she'll probably build a drag car outa the one without a hood now
